Summary

Undated earthwork ditches and a possible mound are visible on aerial photographs to the west of Shrublands, Old Buckenham. The site consists of two linear earthwork ditches and a small possible mound. It is possible that this earthwork mound may represent a Bronze Age round barrow, but it is also possible that it is a recent agricultural feature.

Map

June 2012. Norfolk NMP.
Undated earthwork ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1) to the west of Shrublands, Old Buckenham. The site is centred on TM 0549 9280 and consists of two linear earthwork ditches and a small (approximately 6m in diameter) possible mound. It is possible that this earthwork mound may represent a Bronze Age round barrow, but it is also possible that it is a recent agricultural feature. Since these features are only visible on one set of photographs they have been recorded with a note of caution.
