Summary

A watching brief close to the site of a moat of probable medieval date (NHER 19728) revealed a sequence of alluvial and topsoil deposits. No archaeological features, either associated with the nearby moat or otherwise, were revealed, and no finds were retrieved.

Monitoring of groundworks associated with construction of extension to existing agricultural building.
This work revealed a sequence of alluvial and topsoil deposits. No archaeological features, either associated with the nearby moat (NHER 19728) or otherwise, were revealed, and no finds were retrieved.
