Map

July 2012. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of undated linear ditches, which may form a possible trackway are visible on aerial photographs in fields to the east of Banham Road, Kenninghall.
The possible trackway or road is visible running south west-north east from TM 0442 8695 to TM 0467 8704. It consists of two linear ditch features approximately 4m apart, with a possible hint of a bank between them, although this is very faint and difficult to be sure of. The features are only faintly visible on one set of photographs, and have been recorded with a note of caution, but since there are two finds of Roman coins and a Roman military belt fitting in the fields that the road or trackway crosses (NHER 34593 and NHER 35130), it is possible that it may be of Roman date.
E. Bales (NMP), 11 July 2012.
