Summary

The former earthwork of a probable medieval to post medieval boundary are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Ashwellthorpe Hall (NHER 9955) and a medieval moat and fishpond (NHER 9949). This earthwork have the appearance of a post medieval or medieval to post medieval field boundary, although given the location of the medieval moats to the immediate north it is possible that it represents a more archaeologically significant boundary.
