Full Description
July 2012. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of an undated ditch are visible on aerial photographs to the north of Mill Lane, Great Ellingham (S1-S2). The site is centred on TM 0152 9722. Additional faint linear cropmarks were visible within this field, but were felt to be most likely of non-archaeological origin. The ditch is undated, but is located to the west of an extensive Roman cemetery and find of Early Saxon to post medieval date pottery (NHER 4257).
S. Horlock (NMP), 24 July 2012.
