Full Description
September 2010. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed development site.
A sub-circular pit of probable medieval date was the only feature of archaeological significance identified.

October-December 2010. Watching Brief.
Six pit features were identified during archaeological evaluation and monitoring of 11, 17 and 19 Rampant Horse Street. They were ascribed to three phases, Early Medieval, Later Medieval to Early Post-medieval and Post-medieval. Residual medieval pottery was also recovered from a number of modern features, and four cellars and a well were subsequently found and recorded during the archaeological monitoring of the demolition works.
