Full Description
August 2012.
The cropmarks of a group of largely undated fragmentary and multi-phase ditches and field boundaries, some of which are likely to be medieval to post medieval in date, are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). The site is centred on TG 2526 2292. As stated above some of the boundaries are aligned the same as the medieval to post medieval fields in the area, as depicted on the 1839 Scottow Tithe map (S2) and those cropmarks recorded under NHER 57986, also thought to be medieval to post medieval in date. However others recorded within this site would appear to represent pre-medieval features. Finds in the area include Roman, Saxon and medieval (NHER 24346, 25614).
