Summary

Fragmentary ditches and one bank of uncertain date, function and archaeological significance are visible on aerial photographs to the north of a Roman road at Crownthorpe (NHER 19725). Many or all of these ditches could be drains or boundaries of relatively recent date.

Fragmentary ditches and one bank of uncertain date, function and archaeological significance are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3) to the north of a Roman road at Crownthorpe (NHER 19725). Many or all of these ditches could be drains or boundaries of relatively recent date. They are centred on TG 0930 0308 and are oriented largely North northeast-south southwest.
