Full Description
September 2012. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of an undated ditch feature are visible on aerial photographs (S1) to the east of Flint Farm, Bridgham. It is centred on TL 9842 8692 and is oriented northeast-southwest. It may be a remnant of the ditch recorded previously in the vicinity as an ‘old road’ (MHER 6042), although its course is suspiciously parallel to the field edge, implying that the increased growth of the crop in this area may simply be due to over-application of fertiliser in this area, and since it is only visible on photographs from one year, it has been recorded with a note of caution.
E. Bales (NMP), 04 September 2012.
