Summary

An Early Bronze Age pit, together with some undated pits and gullies and post medieval field boundaries were recorded during an archaeological evaluation in June 2012.

Evaluation of proposed development site.
Six of the forty-five trenches excavated contained archaeological features.
An Early Bronze Age Beaker period pit was recorded, together with some undated pits and gullies and post medieval field boundaries.
The small assemblage of worked flint recovered from the site included a single Late Mesolithic/Early Neolithic blade and a thumbnail end scraper of probable Early Bronze Age date.
