Full Description
1972. Stray Find.
Found in or around Pentney c. 1972:
1 Lower Palaeolithic very large flint handaxe, possibly made on flake. At 210mm long this is one of the largest handaxes found in Norfolk. This object was shown to the staff of the Sedgeford Historical and Archaeological Research Project (SHARP), who have provided photographs.
Resubmitted to HES for further study in 2013 and recorded on PAS database [1]. See drawing (S1).
