Summary

Union Chapel built in 1870, for a mixed congregation of Baptist and Independents. Chapel has many noteworthy art-nouveau fittings, given in memory of members of the Ibberson Family.

Union Chapel built in 1870 for a mixed congregation of Baptist and Independents and placed in trust for 'Evangelical Nonconformists'. The walls of the building are of brown stone with limestone dressings and decorative bands of terracotta and tile. There is a polygonal vestibule at the west end of the building. This is separated from the body of the building by an arcade of three bays. The chapel has many noteworthy art-nouveau fittings given in memory of members of the Ibberson Family.
