Summary

A Second World War roadblock was identified from a series of seven infilled holes in the road's surface. Two pale lines, orientated parallel to each other and perpendicular to the road, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946, almost certainly marking the area of the roadblock. Several other Second World War roadblocks have been identified around Docking village, which was a category ‘A’ nodal point during the war.
