Full Description
October 2012. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of at least one possible medieval to post medieval enclosure or drainage ditches are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Old Farm, Stow Bedon.
The site is centred on TL 9594 9424 and consists of earthwork ditches which appear to surround a slightly raised banked area centred on TL 9595 9428. It is possible that these features relate to post medieval drainage ditches and are not, in fact, archaeological in nature, but they have been mapped due to their proximity to the medieval moated site (NHER 14456). They may also be related to those recorded to the west (NHER 57453).
E. Ford (NMP), 25 October 2012.
