Summary

An evaluation in advance of redevelopment recorded a single pit dated to the 17th century by a token recovered from its fill. The 1905 Ordnance Survey map indicates a possible quarry within this field which, combined with the nature of the soils in the area, suggests that it may have be a quarry pit. A single Late Prehistoric struck flint fragment was also recovered from the topsoil.
