Full Description
07 January 2006. Vertical aerial photograph.
A cropmark of an undated enclosure is visible on Google Earth aerial photographs. This location has been subject to extensive metal-detecting (NHER 33890), and finds from the Late Mesolithic to post medieval period have been recorded.
See (S1) for further details.

July 2021. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
A previously recorded (see above) sub circular enclosure which maybe prehistoric in date can be seen on aerial photographs (S1-S2). The sub circular enclosure consists of a singular ditch (measuring approximately 2 meters) with an internal area of approximately 43 x 41 meters. It is possible that the sub circular enclosure may relate to a prehistoric settlement site possibly dating to the Bronze Age or Iron Age. A small linear ditch and a possible curvilinear ditch can be seen to the south of the enclosure. These features and are partially masked by geology. The relationship between the linear and the possible curvilinear ditches to the enclosure are not known. It is possible that these features are natural in origin. The cropmarks of post medieval field boundaries can also be seen on the consulted sources. It’s possible that the enclosure ditch is overlain by one of these boundaries. The post medieval boundaries are recorded in good detail on the historic maps (S2-S3) and have therefore not been mapped as part of this project. The enclosure is in close proximity to further possible multi period enclosures and boundaries to the north and to the east (NHER 64210). The monument polygon has been amended to the location of the feature as seen on S1.
