Map

November 2012. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of possible medieval to post medieval trackways, field boundaries or drainage ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2) on land at the eastern end of Breckles Moor, Stow Bedon.
The site is centred on TL 9639 9403 and consists of several east-west earthwork ditches. It is possible that these features relate to post medieval drainage ditches and are not, in fact, archaeological in nature, but they have been mapped due to their proximity to the possible earthwork enclosures to the south east (NHER 57457) which may be related to the recorded site of Little Breckles deserted medieval village, Shropham (NHER 12152). It should be noted that some of these ditches are only visible on one photographic frame which is undated and does not have a stereo pair (S1), and it is therefore difficult to be certain of their nature. The rectification of this frame was also imperfect, so their exact location should be viewed with a hint of caution also.
