Summary

Metal-detecting in 2012 and 2022 recovered a Late Prehistoric flint flake; a Bronze Age flint piercer; a medieval pottery sherd; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins and a number of other, Roman and Middle Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Roman brooch and cosmetic mortar; a Middle Saxon silver pin; Middle/Late Saxon strap ends; Late Saxon disc brooches and a socketed hook from strap distributor; Late Saxon to medieval lead weights; medieval and post-medieval dress accessories (including a post-medieval silver button); a medieval coin weight; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy rings and lead weights and post-medieval harness mounts, spurs fragments, a sword-belt fitting, hooked book clasp and thimble.

1 Late Prehistoric flint flake fragment.
1 Bronze Age flint piercer.
2 Roman coins, a brooch and cosmetic mortar.
Middle Saxon silver pin.
Middle/Late Saxon strap ends.
Late Saxon to medieval lead weights.
Late Saxon socketed hook from strap distributor.
1 medieval coin, 1 pottery sherd, buckles, buttons, a strap end and coin weight.
Medieval/post-medieval copper alloy rings and lead weights.
2 post-medieval coins, silver and copper alloy buttons, buckle frames, harness mounts, a sword-belt fitting, hooked book clasp, thimble and incomplete spur.

The Middle Saxon silver pin and the post-medieval silver button were both disclaimed as Treasure (Refs: 2012 T795 and 2012 T796 respectively) and returned to the finder.
