Full Description
November 2012. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of an undated square banked enclosure are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Shropham Fen.
The square enclosure is centred on TL 9962 9314 and measures approximately 11m by 11m internally, 16m by 16m externally, although it is not completely visible.
It could conceivably represent a small stock enclosure of unknown date
It is very difficult to be certain that this feature is archaeological in origin, since it is only visible on one set of photographs, and has therefore been recorded with a hint of caution, as it may be a result of natural ground undulation together with variable vegetation height in the area.
E. Ford (NMP), 07 November 2012.
