Summary

In March 1805 a coin hoard of 378 silver and two gold coins were discovered within a Siegburg ware pot dating to the third quarter of the 15th century. The coins themselves date to between the reign of Edward IV (1461-1483) and the reign of Henry VII (1485-1509). The hoard is said to have been discovered under the floor of an old barn in the village of Great Witchingham but the exact location is unknown.

A coin hoard of 378 silver and two gold coins were discovered within a Siegburg ware pot dating to the third quarter of the 15th century. The coins themselves date to between the reign of Edward IV (1461-1483) and the reign of Henry VII (1485-1509). The hoard is said to have been discovered under the floor of an old barn in the village of Great Witchingham but the exact location is unknown. The current whereabouts of the coins and pot is unknown but some of the coins seem to have been sold during the 19th century.
