Summary

Systematic fieldwalking by the Southrepps Society in November 2011 recovered Mesolithic, Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age and undatable prehistoric worked flints; medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; a medieval roof tile; medieval/post-medieval brick fragments; post-medieval to modern glass fragments, clay tobacco pipe and ceramic building material and undatable iron slag.

1 Mesolithic flint blade.
1 Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age plano-convex flint knife.
22 undatable prehistoric flint flakes, 1 utilised blade, 1 scraper on thermal flake and 1 retouched flake.
6 medieval pottery sherd (3 unglazed, 1 unglazed ?Grimston, 1 glazed and 1 glazed Grimston) and 1 roof tile fragment.
2 medieval/post-medieval pottery sherd (1 stoneware and 1 LMT) and 3 brick fragments (?16th century).
34 post-medieval pottery sherds (26 Glazed Red Earthenware and 8 stoneware).
1 undatable iron slag fragment (probably smithing).
Also post-medieval glass fragments, clay tobacco pipe and ceramic building material.
Flints identified by P. Robins (NCM) and other objects by A. Rogerson (HES).
