Full Description
November 2012. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of a possible hollow way, toft boundaries and possible enclosure are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3) to the west and east of Wilby Hall, Quidenham.
The hollow way is visible between TM 0295 9043 and TM 0319 9057, to the north of a series of ditches which may represent possible toft boundaries of enclosures. These features may be related to the site of Wilby Shrunken village to the south, NHER 29582.
To the east of the hall, a further possible toft boundary or enclosure is visible at TM 0345 9065, together with two parallel cropmark ditches which were visible on later photographs (S2), but may not be archaeological in nature.
E. Ford (NMP), 29 November 2012.
