Full Description
Site of Former Unitarian Baptist Chapel built in 1811-12. The building was also known as the 'Salem Chapel'. This was a plain brick chapel. The south front had a central entrance with round-arched upper window and a shield-shaped tablet above, which was inscribed 'MDCCCXI l SALEM l CHAPEL l UNITARIAN'. The chapel was closed in 1867 and converted to secular use. The building was then demolished in 1970.
