Summary

Metal-detecting between 2012 and 2025 recovered Roman, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; medieval and post-medieval jettons and Late Iron Age/Early Roman to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include Late Iron Age/Roman brooch fragments; a pair of Early Saxon tweezers; a Late Saxon to post-medieval lead spindle whorl; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval box or casket fitting and a copper alloy probable ewer leg; a medieval/post-medieval possible mount or spur buckle, chafing dish handle, copper alloy rings and copper alloy vessel fragment and post-medieval spurs, furniture fittings, a harness mount, book clasp, crotal bell, flat mount cut out from larger object, incomplete pair of nut crackers, lead trade weight, lead disc of uncertain function and lead and iron pin.

Full Description

Before 14 June 2012. Metal-detecting.
1 Roman pottery sherd.
Early Saxon pair of tweezers.
2 medieval coins, 2 jettons, 2 pottery sherds and a copper alloy vessel leg (probably from tripod ewer).
2 post-medieval coins, 1 jetton, 9 pottery sherds, a buckle, arm from pair of nut crackers and lead trade weight.
