Summary

Metal-detecting in 2010 recovered a copper alloy valve from a Middle Bronze Age palstave mould, similar to one found nearby in 2007 (NHER 51636). The other halves of these two moulds were found during subsequent metal-detecting in 2012. The recovery of two complete moulds at this location suggests that palstaves were potentially being produced here.
