Full Description
January 2013. Norfolk NMP.
The earthworks of probable medieval to post medieval boundaries are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3). The site is centred on TM 0240 9699. Numerous earthwork ditch-like features are visible on (S1-S2), however the majority were depicted on historic maps, such as Ordnance Survey First Edition map (1889 to 1891) (S4) or appeared to be probable drainage ditches, and were therefore not mapped. Only the shallow earthwork of an L-shaped boundary ditch running alongside the property was included within the mapping. However it must be noted that this feature could feasibly also relate to drainage. The location of the earthwork is now covered by modern agricultural structures and is unlikely to survive to any extent.
S. Horlock (NMP), 24 January 2013.
