Summary

Metal-detecting in 2012 and 2013 recovered a Late Neolithic/Late Bronze Age flint scraper; Roman, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon and medieval pottery sherds; Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval coins; medieval jettons and undated and Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include undated casting waste; a Bronze Age axehead; a Middle/Late Bronze Age copper alloy unidentified object; a Late Iron Age/Roman finger ring; a Roman finger-ring, furniture fitting, brooch and bracelet; Early Saxon brooches and a mount from stave-built bucket; a Middle Saxon tweezers fragment; Middle/Late Saxon pins; Late Saxon brooches and a strap-end; a Late Saxon/medieval buckle and mounts; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval harness pendants, weights, a thimble and a padlock; a medieval/post-medieval knife-end stop and copper alloy vessel legs and post-medieval harness mounts, cloth seal and a coin weight.
