Summary

Fieldwalking by Caistor Roman Project in 2011 recovered late prehistoric flint flakes and a retouched flake; Roman and medieval to post-medieval pottery sherds; post-medieval clay tobacco pipe stem fragments; undatable and late post-medieval to modern ceramic building material; modern glass sherds and undated animal bone fragments, slag and burnt flint.

17 April 2011. Systematic fieldwalking. Caistor Research Project, Field CRP 2.17.
Undatable ceramic building material, metal objects, animal bone fragments, iron slag and burnt flint.
Late prehistoric flint flake and retouched flake.
1 Roman pottery sherd.
7 medieval pottery sherds.
1 medieval/post-medieval pottery sherd and a copper alloy cooking vessel fragment.
12 post-medieval pottery sherds and 4 clay tobacco pipe fragments.
Late post-medieval ceramic building material.
Modern ceramic building material, metal objects and glass sherds.
