Summary

Fieldwalking by Caistor Roman Project in 2011 recovered prehistoric worked flint including a possible Upper Palaeolithic crested long blade and late prehistoric flint flakes and a flint knife; Roman, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; undatable, medieval and late post-medieval to modern ceramic building material; post-medieval clay tobacco pipe stem fragments; modern glass sherds and undatable burnt flint and animal bone fragments.
