Summary

The former earthworks of a broad L-shaped pond or drain are visible on aerial photographs at Attleborough Hills. This broad ditch feeds into another broad linear gully depicted on the Ordnance Survey Second Edition map giving it the appearance of being an incomplete rectangular moated enclosure, although the archaeological significance of it is uncertain and it may relate to drainage.

The former earthworks of a broad L-shaped pond or drain are visible on aerial photographs at Attleborough Hills (S1). The site is centred on TM 0344 9693. This broad ditch feeds into another broad linear gully depicted on the Ordnance Survey Second Edition map (S2), giving it the appearance of being an incomplete rectangular moated enclosure, although the archaeological significance of it is uncertain and it may relate to drainage.
