Summary

In the 1990s a very large Roman steelyard weight in the form of a boy satyr was acquired at a car boot sale in Burgh Castle. This was potentially a local find but its provenanced was unknown.

Roman very large, lead-filled copper alloy steelyard weight in the form of a quarter-length bust of a boy satyr. See drawing (S1).
