Summary

In 2001 a potentially prehistoric burnt flint and a post-medieval pottery sherd were recovered in this field during the excavation of a cable trench. Metal-detecting in 2013 recovered Roman and medieval/post-medieval pottery sherds as well as a Roman figurine of a cockerel, a medieval horse harness mount in the form of a bird and a post-medieval sword pommel.

Observation of trench dug for new electricity cable running between Bacton and North Walsham (Field 35).
No archaeologically significant features or deposits observed.
Unstratified finds recovered included:
1 ?prehistoric burnt flint.
1 post-medieval pottery sherd.
