Full Description
11 September 2013. Stray find.
A fragment of airframe was recovered from the beach after high tide. The fragment had no features that would aid identification and dating. A number of German and allied aircraft crashed into the sea in this area during World War 2 and the aerial gunnery range at Weybourne to the east would have used drones such as the de Havilland Queen Bee as traget practise.
A. Beckham (HES), 3 October 2013.
