Summary

Metal-detecting between 2013 and 2025 recovered a Neolithic flint flake; Roman, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval token, and a range of other, Late Iron Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Iron Age tankard handle; a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; Roman brooches, a military belt or harness mount, cosmetic mortar, acorn-shaped terminal from furniture handle, copper alloy stud and unidentified copper alloy object; Early Saxon brooch and a wrist clasp; a Middle/Late Saxon hooked tag and pin; Late Saxon stirrup-strap mounts, a bell and knife grip, ferrule or staff terminal; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories (including a medieval/post-medieval silver finger ring and post-medieval silver hooked tags); a medieval leash swivel, purse frame fragment, harness mount and attachment loop for drop-handle; a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy ring and post-medieval harness mounts, crotal bells, a sword-belt clasp, book clasp, pin, copper alloy seal matrix, copper alloy vessel fragment, copper alloy weight and lead possible weights.

1 post-medieval pottery sherd, 6 buckles, 2 buttons, 3 harness mounts, a sword-belt clasp, crotal bell, book clasp, copper alloy seal matrix, copper alloy vessel fragment and copper alloy weight.
