Summary

In 1994 a nunber of worked flints of probable Mesolithic or Early Neolithic date were recovered at this location. Medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds and a possible medieval roof tile fragment were found in 2022.

Found on surface near Sewage Farm (area of Context 1 at [1]):
13 prehistoric worked flints.
This small assemblage includes no diagnostic pieces, although the presence of a worked-out blade core, blades and long narrow flakes suggests a Mesolithic/Early Neolithic date. Retouched pieces included a backed blade and a retouched flake (possibly an axe trimming flake).

Finds recovered (probably from molehills) during Castle Acre Parish Council's National Lottery Heritage Fund funded 'The Past is All Around Us' project:
2 medieval pottery sherds.
1 ?medieval roof tile fragment.
2 post-medieval pottery sherds.
