Summary

A Lower/Middle Paelaeolithic handaxe, forty-five sherds of Roman pottery and several medieval pottery sherds were recovered here as stray finds between 2013 and 2014.

Lower Palaeolithic flint handaxe of cordate plan form in good condition (S1).
It is difficult to judge whether this piece was worked from a frost fracture of a larger flint, a larger hammer struck flake, or a suitably sized piece of tabular or amoebic flint.
