Summary

Fieldwalking and metal-detecting in 2010 recovered a small quantity of pottery dating from the Early Saxon to the post-medieval period, post-medieval tile and brick, and post-medieval to modern iron fragments. Metal-detecting in 2017 recovered a medieval page-holder fragment.

August 2010. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
A field survey of this proposed development site recovered only 17 objects. These consisted of one sherd of Early to Middle Saxon pottery, five fragments of 12th- to 14th-century pottery, four sherds of post-medieval to modern pottery, a fragment of 16th to 18th century brick, three fragments of 18th to 20th century tile, and three iron fragments likely of late post-medieval to modern date.
