Summary

A single east-west linear feature was identified by magnetometer survey in 2013. The feature corresponds to a field boundary depicted on the Smallburgh Enclosure and Tithe maps and has been dated to the post-medieval period.

January 2013. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey recorded a series of dipolar anomalies on an east-west alignment. These correspond with a field boundary depicted on the Smallburgh Enclosure (S1) and Tithe Maps (S2). This field boundary is visible in 1946 vertical aerial photographs (S3) but is not present on 1988 aerial photographs (S4).
No other anomalies of possible archaeological origin were recorded.
