June 2014. Stray Find. [1].
Middle Bronze Age dirk or rapier (S1).
12 Roman pottery sherds and a lead weight.
5 Late Saxon pottery sherds.
5 medieval pottery sherds.
1 medieval/post-medieval pottery sherd.
Post-medieval steelyard weight.
Information from PAS import.
The finds detailed above were recovered from soil that was redeposited here, at Compton Hall Pit. The spoil came from NHER 59839 and the finder is certain all artefacts recovered were from the soil removed from that site.
