Full Description
Site of post-medieval brickwork. Now a caravan park.
Previously recorded under NHER 6395.
Copy in file of 1928 25in Ordnance Survey showing plan of works east of road.
1938. Excavation.
Excavation of structures discovered on edge of brickworks pit.
Although initially interpreted as medieval and/or post-medieval pottery kilns it has been noted that the published illustrations in fact appear to show a haystack kiln that was presumably associated with the 19th-century brickworks.
See NHER 6395 for further details.
