These earthworks have now been extended and recorded under NHER 63244 with the further sections of the Munford-Lynford parish boundary identified from the Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) survey.

March 2013. Rapid Identification Survey.
A shallow ditch, aligned roughly northnorthwest by southsoutheast, with a low bank on either side. The ditch is 3m wide and up to 0.2m deep. Both banks are up to 3.5m wide and 0.2m tall.
The ditch and banks are subtle features and have been damaged by forestry operations in the past. These factors combined make them very difficult to identify.
The ditch and banks are in the same location and on the same alignment as the boundary between Lynford and Mundford parishes, as shown on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch map (S1). As a consequence, it is probable they were constructed to define the parish boundary.

May 2019. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
These earthworks have now been extended and recorded under NHER 63244 with the further sections of the Munford-Lynford parish boundary identified from the AIM survey.
