Summary

In 2013 a test pit was excavated at this location by the Docking Heritage Group. Finds include potentially prehistoric burnt flints, Roman and medieval pottery sherds and post-medieval clay pipe stems.

Excavation of 1m x 1m archaeological test pit by Docking Heritage Group.
Finds recovered included:
Potentially prehistoric burnt flints.
1 Roman pottery sherd.
5 medieval pottery sherds.
2 post-medieval clay pipe stems.
1 undatable slag fragment.
Modern material was also recovered.
