Summary

In 2012 (or before) a prehistoric perforated stone hammer/macehead was found in the garden of 12 Langmere Road. Objects of this type are not closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.

Found in garden of 12 Langmere Road:
1 prehistoric stone hammer/mace with central 'hour-glass' perforation. Made of a fine-grained rock (possibly Langdale tuff) rather than the typical quartzite. Objects such as this are not closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.
Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2012.183).
