Roman coin hoard. Other finds recovered in this field are now recorded separately, under NHER 67535.

October-November 2015. Metal-detecting. [1].
Found scattered over an area of approximately 15 square meters:
Roman coin hoard of 137 coins, consisting 9 gold solidi and 128 silver siliquae minted between Constantius II and Valens.
The condition of the latest coins suggests the hoard is unlikely to be later than the mid 360s - making it tempting to suggest its deposition was associated with the so-called 'Barbarian Conspiracy' of 367.
Information from PAS import.
The Roman coin hoard was declared Treasure (Ref: 2015 T884) and 2 coins were acquired by the British Museum (2018,4070.1 and 2018,4070.2).

Information from PAS import.
These coins were declared Treasure at inquest (Ref: 2017 T442) but returned to finder as the intended museum was unable to acquire.
