Full Description
Pre 1990. Stray Find.
Between 1964 and 2008 over 5000 worked flints were recovered from the fields surrounding Micklehaugh Farm, in the adjacent parish of Banham (NHER 2259). An examination of this collection by J. J. Wymer (NAU) identified 3 Mesolithic flint microliths that that were actually recorded as being from Kenninghall. Two were definitely from this site (marked as being from old O.S fields 809 and 400a), while the third was simple marked “Kenninghall”. These were amongst the pieces drawn by Wymer (S1).
See notes in file for NHER 2259 (from British Museum Wymer archive).
