November 1996. Field observation (monitoring).
Drainage trenches for a new development were inspected.
The average depth of the trenches was 0.7m. No natural deposit was observed, but the contractors reported sand was reached at a depth of about 1.4m. The visible deposit consisted of unstratified, very dark sandy loam.
No finds were observed other than modern and Victorian material.
These observations were previously recorded under NHER 10562.
