Full Description
Pre 1997. Stray Find or Metal-detecting. [1].
Roman gold finger ring set with a chalcedony intaglio.
The finder of this object and the circumstances of its discovery are unknown. It was however reported as potential Treasure Trove in 2011 (Treasure case 2011 T932) so we at least know that it must have been found prior to 1997 (as more recent legislation applies to objects found after this date).
Information from PAS import.
A. Beckham (HES), 3 September 2014. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 8 June 2020.
