Map

February 2013. Geophysical Survey.
A detailed magnetometer survey identified two well-defined intersecting linear anomalies in the southern portion of the investigated area. These correspond to field boundaries depicted on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map (S1).
The only other magnetic anomalies identified during the survey consist of linear trends in the southern portion of the area likely caused by modern ploughing and isolated dipolar anomalies created by the presence of modern ferrous material in the topsoil.
See NHER 60541 for results from the northern portion of the investigated area.
See NHER 39648 for details of post-medieval pottery recovered from this area.
See report (S2) for further information.
