Summary

Metal-detecting between 2014 and 2023 recovered a Roman pottery sherd; a post-medieval coin and a number of other metal objects, including an Early Bronze Age flanged axehead; an Late Iron Age/Roman bridle fitting; Roman brooches, anthropomorphic vessel mount, bracelet fragment, copper alloy and silver finger ring and lead steelyard weight; a Late Saxon bird brooch and finger ring; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories (including a post-medieval gold posy ring); a medieval rotary key, purse bar fragment, harness mount and lead weight; a medieval/post-medieval loop handle from chafing dish or cupboard door, writing lead fragments and lead weights and post-medieval crotal bells, harness mounts and a figurine fragment.

Medieval buckle, rotary key, purse bar fragment, and M-shaped harness fitting or harness mount.
Post-medieval buckles, crotal bells, a dress hook, harness mount, and gold posy ring with an inscription reading 'HARTS · VNITED · LIVE · CONTENTED'.

The post-medieval gold finger ring was disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2016 T827) and returned to the finder.
