Full Description
July 2013. Test pit.
Excavation of 1m x 1m archaeological test pit by Docking Heritage Group. Finds recovered included:
Finds included:
2 prehistoric flint flakes.
7 ?prehistoric burnt flints.
1 medieval pottery sherd (local medieval unglazed ware).
16 post-medieval pottery sherds and 17 clay tobacco pipe fragments.
Other material recovered included modern pottery sherds, oyster and cockle shells, animal bones, coal, slate, iron nails, bottle glass and a large number of brick fragments.
